Media training for Nissan’s European communications team in preparation of new model launches in Paris and at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

In September 2009, Rudi Goldman and Debbie Wirtjes-Lewis provided media training to the Nissan’s European communications team at Nissan Europe, SAS in Trappes, France and Nissan International SA in Rolle, Switzerland. The nine members of the team were media trained in preparation for two major Nissan car launches: the revolutionary electric vehicle, Leaf, and the new B-Crossover vehicle called Juke.

A family name for generations of Americans, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. provides product safety testing. UL International serves European manufacturers, who wish to export their products to the United States.

Crisis Communications workshop for the Rochester Nijenrode University Executive MBA class

For the second year in row, Media in English Managing Director Rudi Goldman and Training Associate Elizabeth Goodwin have taught a 2 1/2-day Crisis Communications workshop for the Rochester Nijenrode University Executive MBA class.

The workshop examined three past corporate crises from both the external and internal communications perspectives and gave participants an opportunity to represent management and the press during mock media press conferences and interviews.

Since Media in English usually works with groups of one to three individuals, it was an exciting challenge to manage the event to benefit approximately 50 students.

Considering the fact that only 25% of Fortune 1000 companies are to some degree prepared for crisis situations, we wish to encourage you to make sure your company has taken or will take appropriate measures. We at Media in English are happy to help out if needed.

Streaming videos for Aberdeen Group, Inc. e-Profiles

Media in English travelled to the Aberdeen Group Inc. headquarters in Boston for webcasting consulting and training regarding the e-Profile project on their website.

Our mission was not only to upgrade the overall look, presentation and technical quality of the e-Profile, but also to train senior Aberdeen Group analysts on how to write and perform effectively for streaming video Webcasts. Media in English also produced and directed several streaming videos for the e-Profile Web page.

We received wonderful reactions from key staff members regarding our efforts.

The person spearheading the project, Senior VP Hugh Bishop said that he was 100% satisfied with the results.

In September of 2002, Aberdeen Group's Chris Fletcher was selected by CRM Magazine as One of "The 20 Most Influential People in CRM in the Past Year." Fletcher, listed as "The Veteran" in the magazine, is considered a thought leader in the industry, responsible for helping to push the market forward. He was singled out for his vast experience in the CRM field.

Prior to visiting Boston, Media in English provided managing directors Ed Hanzon and André Posthuma of Aberdeen Group Europe with presentation training. Both Ed and André were enthusiastic about our training and scored us high on our evaluations. Media in English enjoyed working with the many dedicated senior staff of the Aberdeen Group during these projects.

Rudi Goldman teaches MBA class at Nijenrode University

Nijenrode University, considered by many as the 'Harvard' of the Netherlands, invited Media in English founder and managing director Rudi Goldman to present a lecture and workshop for their prestigious International Modular MBA program. The topic was answering difficult questions. Well-received by the class, the lecture and workshop were conducted in cooperation with professors Annamaria Beasley-Suffok and Roger L. Price of the University's TIME Centre (Management Communications Skills).
